2 Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.
Pursue the treasures of God rather than the treasures of this world.
Our society encourages us to pursue fame, fortune, and power. Sometimes even by unscrupulous means. We should not focus on the things of this temporal world, but rather the eternal world. Only the things that we do for the kingdom of God will endure. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:26 In light of these scriptures, we should focus on living a life pleasing to God free from greed.
